“In 10 seasons – states Agostino Poletto, sole director of Stazione Leopolda srl – Vintage Selection has become a point of reference amongst sector events on an international level for everything that rotates around vintage fashion and its cultural links. It is attended by a vast public of collectors and enthusiasts and, due to its being held concomitantly with Pitti Filati, it has become a must for cool hunters and the style offices of top international fashion companies who come to Florence to find inspiration for their stylistic research. For this reason, over the various editions, the event will increasingly focus on the “archive” concept which the whole fashion world is looking at with great attention: because that is where the resources of creativity lie”.

A laboratory in which research is carried out on the fashions of the past. A colorful archive providing inspiration for the collections of today. For this edition, Vintage Selection is multiplying its proposals and opportunities to experiment, celebrating creativity in the form of a vintage yet extremely modern passion: tricotage. Immersed in an atmosphere worthy of the most distinctive flea markets, the top international vintage operators will present their products whilst participating in the enthusiasm of the first Italian Knit Out, a gathering of national knitters : groups of people who knit, crochet or embroider. Moreover, the Stazione Leopolda will be hosting the Abito Multipl o project - a garment which takes its shape through a collective performance. Both these events are part of Do Knit Yourself, the project staged by Pitti Immagine in collaboration with the Accademia di Belle Arti Naba of Milan, and designer Nicoletta Morozzi.
New for this edition: historic international vintage fashion brands will be presented alongside two elegant selections dedicated to the 80s and the luxury of some of the top names of the fashion aristocracy: Gucci, Hermès, Salvatore Ferragamo, YSL Rive Gauche.

Collections from firms making customized vintage: clothes subjected to innovative treatments or transformed through tailoring are available for purchase by buyers and visitors.

RDF 102.7, the show’s official radio station, will be playing non-stop vintage music throughout the days.
